Our Beginning
The Problem Was Never the Practice of Law.
It was everything law firm owners were expected to carry around it.
Every successful law firm deserves the opportunity to focus on practicing law instead of carrying every responsibility that comes with running a business.
That belief became the foundation for Practice42.
Talented attorneys were building firms around meaningful work, but many were being asked to lead a business without the systems, resources, or support needed to do it well.
Practicing law was only one part of the responsibility. Law firm owners were also expected to become leaders, recruiters, marketers, technology decision makers, operations managers, trainers, financial overseers, and problem solvers for every challenge that reached their desks.
The issue was not a lack of intelligence, ambition, or commitment. Attorneys had simply been placed in the position of carrying too much without a trusted partner to help connect the pieces.
That Need Became Our Purpose
Audrey Gay Ehrhardt founded Practice42 to give law firms the kind of strategic and practical support she knew they needed.
What began as a desire to help attorneys build stronger firms became a company designed to support the entire business of law.

Practice42 was founded on the belief that law firms needed more than disconnected advice. They needed a trusted partner who understood both the practice of law and the realities of building a successful business.
That belief came from founder Audrey Gay Ehrhardt’s firsthand experience working with law firms and recognizing the challenges attorneys faced beyond the practice of law.
She saw talented professionals carrying leadership, hiring, marketing, technology, operations, and team development on their own. The need was clear. Firms deserved support that could bring every part of the business together.
Practice42 was created to meet that need through practical strategy, experienced guidance, and hands-on implementation. The goal has never been to simply identify opportunities for improvement.
